I cannot say enough about Lane and Jessica. They are two of the nicest people you would want to meet. I had the pleasure of purchasing a LS1 action and having Lane do the chamber work on my barrel. The process could not have been simpler. The quality of Lanes’ craftsmanship is second to none. I have only had the opportunity to shoot the rifle at one match. The rifle shoots better than me. I had heard of Lane’s suppressors and rifle builds, but I had never requested his services before. I figured I’d support him and give a fellow Kentuckian a shot on a new project I was working on. Lane spun up a 300PRC barrel for me for an Impact action I had on hand. I loaded up some rough middle of the road charges to roughly zero. Then shot a three shot group. It did not disappoint! All three rounds went into a sub 1/4 moa group measuring center to center. The second group with a slightly stouter charge did the same thing. The finish work was very nice as well. Although the barrel is still green I have no doubt it will keep hammering for years to come.

I came to Lane with a need for a shorter rifle for maneuverability’s sake while being used in a shooting house. Called him up and got an idea of my options; cut the current barrel, order a new barrel, or have him build a new custom barrel. Obviously three different price ranges. He asked that I meet him and talk with him about my needs/wants from the gun. I walked in expecting a sales pitch on why his barrels are the best and why that is the route I should choose. Instead, we had a thorough and methodical conversation about what it is I want out of this specific gun, and the most effective way to accomplish that desire. Rather than him sell me on a barrel, or a barreled action, he convinced me that all I needed was to shorten my current barrel, and a better understanding of the bullet I’m shooting (.308) and it’s ballistics.
Taking his advice, I left the gun with him to have him cut and re-thread the barrel (I preferred shooting suppressed). I picked the gun up the same afternoon. The cut was precise, the threading perfect.
After seeing the craftsmanship and discussing the multitude of concepts behind projectiles and their flight, Lane convinced me to sign up for his long range shooting course (the first of its kind in our area) designed for hunters, to prove to me what this rifle was capable of.
All I have ever asked of this rifle was that it be able to kill a deer inside 300 yards. Over the course of an afternoon he proved that both the gun, and myself, were capable of much more, to include shooting sub MOA beyond 500 yards, and even hitting steel at over 1000 yards with consistency. (Until the course I had never shot beyond 400 yards).
Lane saved this gun. Had he not been able to listen to what I needed it to do and make it fit in the shooting houses the way he has, it would have sat in the safe and collected dust.
He could have easily sold me a custom rifle, a barreled action, or a barrel for more money. Instead, he did what was best by me and set my gun up exactly as I needed for the best possible price. He is a phenomenal machinist, has an unmatched dedication for perfection, and genuinely loves the sport of precision shooting.
What’s most impressive is his desire to share his passion for the sport and his ability to make complex concepts understandable for those with little to no experience.
It is because of the way he has treated me thus far and his proven ability for gunsmithing that I will never use another shop for my fire arm needs. I will most certainly be purchasing a custom built rifle from him, as I have seen the quality in his craftsmanship far surpass anything I thought a rifle capable of.
Do not think twice about using Billet Precision, and do not think once about using anyone else.

Absolutely the best tools of the trade!! I have several LS1 actions and several full custom builds! BPR has earned my trust 1000% from my days of competitive PRS shooting to the western mountains where I spend most of my falls now. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the products I own from y’all. Every single one has been top-notch. My rifle shoots better than I do. I own several suppressors, and my Game Tamer is by far the most adaptable one I have—there’s essentially no POI shift, and it’s incredibly quiet.
One product that doesn’t get talked about enough is the scope mount. I run my day scope in an LS30 mount, and I can switch back and forth between it and my thermal without losing zero. And I don’t mean “close” or “on paper”—I mean perfect every time.
The only thing better than the products themselves is something you can’t buy: the customer service. Lane has helped me from day one to make sure I’m getting the most out of my setup, and that’s something you just can’t put a price on. Thank y’all!

I have loved to hunt and shoot for a very long time. Randy, my husband started shooting long range several years ago and he recently had Lane build me a gun for my birthday. I now have a 6 Creedmore chambered by Lane, with an LS1 action, Game Tamer suppressor, and LS scope mount. I have to say this is one of the best shooting guns I have ever handled. I absolutely love to shoot it!! Within the first 150 rounds I was able to shoot a golf ball at 1000 yards!! Precision at its best.

As I started thinking about building a custom bolt gun I did as much research as I could. What brands to look for, whether to build one or buy one off the shelf. I stumbled upon a local business called Billet Precision Rifles and decided I would walk in and see what they’re all about. I was able to see some of their work and get hands on with their LS1 action and I knew I was in the right place. You won’t find a better company than Billet Precision Rifles. Lane and his wife Jessica are great people making great high-end products. I met him at a vendor day at Cedar Creek Precision and after talking to Lane and shooting the Game Tamer suppressors, I ended up with four of them and cannot brag on these suppressors enough. They are 2 cans in one. They come apart quick and they clean easy. They’re tough as nails and man they’re quiet. I probably have 4000 to 5000 rounds through two of them. Looking forward to doing lots of business with them in the future.

First time lane did work for me I had purchased a barreled action in a different brand in 6bra that wasn't shot hardly any. I struggled with a heavy bolt lift. I went back and forth with the owner of alpha brass. I spoke with the people at Whidden dies. None of their advice would cure my problem. I knew I wasn't doing something wrong reloading. I then contacted Lane. He had me bring him the rifle. Upon his inspection he discovered my chamber was overcut. This was causing my problem. He then rechambered it and it instantly shot bug holes and the action worked as it should. It was awesome he was willing to work on it even though it wasn't his product. I was so glad to have found someone that helped me. I was about to ditch the PRS game. Lol
After that I had to have a LS1 barreled action. I purchased one and shot a few matches for the first time. I went to the Gap Grind and Tom and I made a good showing.
Next, I purchased a game Tamer full kit. It’s the quietest can I own. I use it primarily for thermal hunting. I hope to add the break soon.
Recently I had Lane thread 2 model 700 barrels. One in 308, and the other was a triangle vtr .223. He also cut and installed his bottom metal in the .308.
I also run Lane’s scope mount on my 6 BRA. Along with all the products and custom work he has done, he has also provided a vast amount of reloading information. He also gave me some of the best advice I've ever received on how to shoot certain positions.
Lane’s products are 2nd to none in my opinion. He loves his work and it shows. Glad to have Billet Precision local. They’re definitely my go to!
Lane has also fluted a sweet looking 6creed barrel for me that is a build in the process. Someday soon it will be on my thermal setup at night.

All the barrels chambered by Billet Precision Rifles shoot amazing! The Game Tamer suppressor is superior to other suppressors I have used. To be able to disassemble and completely clean it and reassemble is one of its best features, they also mitigate recoil and have great sound suppression. Billet Precision Rifles makes amazing products that you can rely on and make you a better shooter!

Lane gave me the opportunity to run the LS1 right out of the gate (possibly the first one that actually left the shop) and it’s been nothing short of amazing.
Now having 3 actions and on my 8th custom barrel from him, they have never failed to perform. Every piece of rifle equipment I have from BPR is 100% quality, fit and finish is great. Every barrel has the finest details covered, clean threads, perfect crown, smooth chamfers.
The Game Tamer suppressor is next level, easy to clean, sounds great and kills recoil!
The LS line of scope mounts are solid as they come, never had a single piece of hardware fail or a scope come loose!

I want to give you some feedback on the rifle system and suppressor I bought from Billet Precision Rifles. I have two complete rifles and they have performed very well in PRS matches and prairie dog hunting. The LS1 actions are very smooth and extremely consistent. I'm on the fourth barrel that Lane has chambered for me and each one has been amazingly accurate. The Game Tamer suppressors have an amazing feel to them; the way they reduce recoil with the brake. They are quite enough for comfort with no ear protection! I can recommend his products to everyone and the customer service is a level I have not seen before.

So, I’ve had the pleasure knowing Lane Shelley and is family for several years and I can tell anyone they are top notch people! With that being said, Lane built be a one off 6mm Creed. I’ve shot many very well-built rifles over my years of shooting and the LS1 action is by far my favorite! His scope mount was also well thought out and I really like the LS1/mount it’s a great combination. One last thing we had a back-yard shoot this fall and Lane had a few shooting bags with him I was able to get one and just like everything else from BPR it’s perfect!!!
